Everything Everywhere (EE) has been ranked as the number one network in the Manchester area, according to the latest on-the-ground independent tests carried out by statistical data firm RootMetrics.  The previous strongest network, Vodafone, fell from joint first to last place.

EE’s mobile internet speeds – a vital aspect of network strength in the modern age – rated as being a very quick 15.2 Mbps on average, largely thanks to the introduction last autumn of the new 4G network.  This super-fast service considered by most people to be the future of mobile internet technology.

The speed of 4G means that music takes less than a second to buffer and start playing when accessed from a mobile device.  4G is quicker than the average fixed-line broadband speed, which Ofcom notes is currently set at around 12 Mbps.

During the testing, it took the handsets just 3.3 seconds to download ten emails and around 0.7 seconds to load a standard web page.   This essentially means that clients who can access 4G are able to do everything on the move that they could do whilst accessing their broadband at home or in the office, which is great news for users of both personal and business mobiles.

The average download speed in the centre of Manchester was measured at 17.9 Mbps, with the new 4G network available in 75.1% of the locations tested within the city.  This shows the growth of the network; back in November 2012 this figure was measured at 40.2%.

To access the great new 4G network, you will need the latest business mobile phone handsets.  Visit Synergy Mobile today to find out more.
