EE has announced that it will no longer offer T-Mobile and Orange plans after 2nd March this year.

After this date only EE plans will be available to new customers and those who are upgrading their contracts. The company states that this decision has been made on the basis that more than 90% of its customers are choosing EE. At the end of last year, EE had more than 7.7 million customers on its 4G plans.

The decision means that EE will be one of the first companies in the world to exclusively offer 4G plans to new and upgrading customers. Customers who are currently on 3G plans with Orange and T-Mobile can remain on these plans until they come to an end; however, they will have the option to upgrade to an EE service.

A statement from the company points out that the adoption of 4G services has been faster in the UK than in much of the rest of the world and EE is simply responding to this demand.

Research shows that EE is one of the strongest mobile phone providers in the UK. It is ranked number one for speed and reliability and also tops the list for innovation, having been the first to introduce 4G to the country and offer 4G shared plans. The company also offers a wide range of plans to suit all budgets and requirements, including the first petabyte bundle.
