HTC-10

The new handset from HTC has been revealed as the HTC 10.

This handset aims to offer more for those keen on smartphone photography and HTC has said that the device provides everything needed for a flagship handset.

Mobile Choice Editor Sunetra Chakravarti has said that this new handset could give HTC a much-needed boost with the public, stating that the company has “gotten it right with the specs” on the flagship 10.

Chakravarti added that the new handset could be just what the company needs, particularly if it has been priced correctly. It has the right look, giving it the style of a premium handset, and the features of the phone include a 4k screen, improved audio systems and a display that is crystal clear. The memory on the HTC 10 is expandable, there is improved integration with Google and the handset also offers a fast charge.

The last announcement of a flagship handset involved the M9 smartphone and took place at the Mobile World Congress last year. Since then, HTC has undergone some changes, and the reins of the company have been taken over by Cher Wang, with former boss Peter Chou taking more of a back seat.

The announcement of the HTC 10 comes hot on the heels of the launch of the brand’s virtual reality headset, the Vive, which was unveiled at this year’s Mobile World Congress.

A week ago, Huawei also announced the launch of new flagships in the form of P9 and P9 plus at a glitzy announcement in London.
