Samsung officially launched its Galaxy Note8 on 15th September in select markets worldwide. The flagship phone is now available in 42 countries, including the UK, Canada, the US, Korea, Singapore and major markets in Europe. The Galaxy Note8 will be available in additional countries in the coming weeks.

The phone features a 6.3-inch AMOLED curved Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The interactive display reaches almost to the edges of the device’s face, with very narrow bezels along the edges.

Samsung’s latest version of the S Pen is included with the Galaxy Note8. The new version has a finer tip and is pressure-sensitive, making it easier to take notes and produce more creative drawings.

The Galaxy Note8 also has two 12MP rear-facing cameras. The telephoto and wide-angle lenses both feature Optical Image Stabilisation and can take crisp, clear pictures from a far distance.

The smartphone uses Samsung’s Exynos 8895 processor and features 6GB RAM and a built-in storage capacity of 64GB, which is expandable to 256GB through a microSD slot. The operating system is the latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat. The Galaxy Note8 is water-resistant, supports wireless charging and has iris and fingerprint scanners for unlocking the device.

The Galaxy Note8 comes with Bixby, which is Samsung’s AI assistant. Samsung DeX support is also included, providing a desktop experience when the phone is docked.

The list price for the Galaxy Note8 is £869, and it is available in Maple Gold and Midnight Black. Samsung plans to release two additional colours, Deepsea Blue and Orchid Grey, at a later date.
